Quill & Frame was founded by Kyley Butler, a public historian and heritage professional with a background in museum studies, archival research, public history, collections-based interpretation, and community-centered historical work.
Kyley holds a B.A. in History and Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College and an M.A. in Heritage Studies and Museum Studies from University of Amsterdam.
Her professional experience includes exhibition research and interpretive planning, museum and heritage research support, archival and object-based research, educational programming, public history interpretation, genealogical research, and narrative development for public-facing historical projects.
Past institutional experience includes work with museums, archives, universities, and heritage organizations in both the United States and Europe. Quill & Frame combines academic research training with practical experience in public-facing historical work, helping bridge archival research, storytelling, interpretation, and accessible historical communication.
